قلعة بردويل

معلم أثري عريق، يقع في الشمال الغربي من مدينة عين التمر، شُيد على هيئة بناء عمودي حلزوني يشبه الزقورة، يرتفع عن سطح الأرض عشرات الأمتار.
يُعتقد أنه يعود للعصر المسيحي في القرن الخامس الميلادي، ويرجح أنها بناية عسكرية تستخدم للمراقبة والحراسة إلى جانب المعالم المسيحية الأخرى التي تقع على مقربة منها، مثل: كنيسة الأقيصير، وقصر شمعون، وقيل أيضًا أنها تشبه صوامع الرهبان.
تعرضت معظم أجزاء هذا المعلم للتهدّم والإندثار بفعل عوامل التعرية والإهمال، ولم يبقى منها سوى بقايا بعض القاعات المسقفة بأقبية مدببة الشكل على الطراز المعماري الحيري الذي كان سائدًا في تلك الحقبة، مع وجود بقايا سور متين يحيط بالقلعة.
Bardawil Castle

An ancient archaeological landmark, located in the northwest of the city of Ain al-Tamr, was built in the form of a vertical spiral building resembling
Al-Ziggurat, rising from the surface of the ground tens of meters.
It is believed that it dates back to the Christian era in the fifth century AD, and it is likely that it is a military building used for surveillance and guarding, in addition to other Christian monuments that are located in close proximity, such as: Al-Uqaisir Church and Shimon Palace, and it is also said that it resembles monks’ silos.
Most parts of this landmark were destroyed by the factors of erosion and neglect, only the remains of some of the halls that were roofed with pointed domes in the Hieran architectural style that was the architectural style of that era, with the remains of a solid wall surrounding the castle
